Muswell Hill Men’s Section consists of almost four hundred playing members.
There are regular monthly and quarterly medal competitions at the weekends; a range of other weekend Stableford and medal competitions; summer and winter knockout competitions; a weekday competition every Thursday in the summer months: a roll up every Thursday evening in the summer and a Sunday Swindle all year round. There is ample opportunity to fulfil your competitive streak, get to know the members and to improve the handicap!
The Club fields a team in all the major Middlesex competitions: Tigers (handicap 3 and above); Sabres (handicap 6-12); Foxes (handicap 12-20) and Rabbits (handicap 20+); the Rowse Trophy and the President’s Foursomes (scratch competitions).
There is also the Thornton Cup (Essex County Competition) for the scratch team and an all London team competition – the Felmingham Trophy – for the over 60s.
There are a range of social events in the clubhouse. Some are linked to competitions such as the very popular Cross-Country, or the keenly fought Ireland vs Rest of the World. Some are linked to festive occasions or to charity events and some are pure social evenings such as Quiz Nights.
