It was a disappointing day for the defending champions of the Pearson Trophy who lost out to Ealing in the 

morning resulting in a 5-2 loss. The Ealing team appeared to play extremely well with reports of pars and birdies galore which all proved too much for the Muswell Hill ladies.

Despite not losing a home/away match in the group stages the strong Hendon side also fell foul of the Ealing team and lost out to them in the afternoon final. Great applause to Ruth Holmes & Mona Watters who both battled hard and won their matches despite being down after the front nine.

The Muswell Hill ladies all enjoyed & played well at Highgate in their 
practice rounds but it was a scorcher on Tuesday 30th June and the heat of the day appeared to deplete a 
number of them. It was a sad end but it must be noted that it was a great achievement to reach the finals two years in a row!
