Course Open (updated 22 September at 05:50)

Many congratulations to MHGC's Tara Watters who made it through to the final of the Ladies' Middlesex County Championship at the weekend.

The Championship took place here at Muswell Hill Golf Club, in what was described by Organiser Middlesex Golf, as an “immaculately presented” course, despite the wet and cool weather conditions.

Following a closely fought 36-hole medal competition on Friday, eight ladies and girls progressed to the knockout stage of the Championship on Saturday morning. The semi-finalists were Tara Watters (Muswell Hill), Diya Patel (Moor Park), Lulu Housman (Wyke Green), and Priyanka Parmar (Pinner Hill).

Both Tara and Lulu played brilliantly in the final on Sunday, but it was England Senior, Lulu that triumphed, winning 2&1. We extend our congratulations to the new Champion.

From the Organiser, Middlesex Golf:

“We were extremely well looked after by the staff and members at Muswell Hill. The course was in incredible condition with fast greens, the food and service provided by the catering team was excellent and the office and the pro shop assisted us at every turn. The team of referees was provided by Middlesex Chief Referee, Robbie Martin.

The Club provided starters and assistants in the Club House without whom we could not have managed. Our thanks go to all the members at Muswell Hill who gave up their tee times to enable us to play unhindered over the three days.”
